7th Grade English: Continuing the Journey

A Tasty Preview . . .

Buckle your safety belts, my seventh grade-scholars!  Here comes a year full of A Christmas Carol, The Outsiders, Romeo and Juliet, Pigman, and other past, present, and future classics.  We've got sentences to correct and quotes to discuss, but we also have writing portfolios to begin and discussion board online postings to create!  You will continue literature circles and multitudinous group projects, and you will buckle down with some serious biography/autobiography writing.  You'll even learn how to make a real technical manual!  Don't forget studying the power of journalism and detecting biases in the media!  Persuasive presentations will be sure to please!  One thing is for sure . . . seventh grade has NO PLACE for boredom!
